Dear Christina; I am the Founder of a non profit organization Living Through Cancer. Our mission is to provide psychosocial programs for all cancer patients and their families that support them in managing the negative issues that occur as a result of a cancer diagnosis and subsequent treatment. These programs offer powerful and innovative strategies to heal the whole person, improve their quality of life and empower them to accept cancer as a manageable disease and not life threatening. We provide opportunities for patients currently undergoing treatment and survivors to meet others with similiar concerns and the comfort of knowing they are not alone in their journey. We work in colloboration with 20 Hospitals and Cancer Centers in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. Our focus is on the underserved and uninsured population who do not have anyway other than Living Through Cancer to obtain these services so vital to their quality of life. The Living Through Cancer Foundation is committed to all the patients we serve and our sucess depends on the number of patients we serve, but more importantly the quality of life we help them acheive. All services are offerred at no cost to the patients or the host facility. I trust that you or a member of your staff will visit our website to get an indepth understanding of this important. I started this Foundation on September 30, 2001 in memory of my late wife who died from metastatic breast cancer, During her treatment none of these services were available. You are in my thoughts and prayers for a complete recovery. Sincerely, John Luciano
