Christina Applegate was on “The Late Show with David Letterman” last night and I have just uploaded the video of her interview into our media archive!

…nothing but professional on set.

“I mean, they’re really good friends,” the actress said. “But at the end of the day, they’re both professionals, and I wouldn’t know if they had ever been together or not, because kind of I think they would [have chemistry] regardless.”

Applegate, who recently got engaged and is also pregnant, stood teetering in a pair of high heels which she said she was yearning to take off.

“I love that all these things are happening–I’m really happy for Drew and Justin and everybody, but I’m telling you, I cannot wait for all of this to be done,” she admitted. “I can’t wait for Friday when I don’t have to be this person for just a minute. Because being pregnant and doing all this is a little bit of work.”

Christina Applegate knows moms who are very hands off, and moms who are very hands on. She figures she can be both.

“I’ll probably be a little bit hippie and a little bit Type A,” the actress, 38, told PEOPLE at Tuesday’s premiere of Going the Distance in Los Angeles. “I’ll take from what my mother did, which was way hippie and like ‘Do what you wanna do,’ and bring some things that I know from watching my friends raise their kids. An amalgamation of sorts.”

Pregnant with her first child with fiancé Martyn Lenoble, Applegate says she’s been craving certain types of food – well, OK, all types of food. “Just keep going with it in my mouth,” she says.

Applegate says in general she’s been feeling good, although one aspect of pregnancy is causing a bit of stress: designing the nursery.

“It’s gender neutral because we don’t know [if it's a boy or girl],” she says. “I’m trying. It’s becoming a bigger project than it was supposed to be, unfortunately.”

A summer fling turns into a long-distance love affair in the romantic comedy, “Going the Distance.”

Most romantic comedies are rated “PG” or “PG-13,” but not this one.

“Mostly everything I say in this, you can’t show,” says one of the film’s stars, Christina Applegate, at the film’s Hollywood premiere Monday.

Applegate’s moments in the movie are too racy for TV.

“We were acting out a campaign for Cialis,” says the film’s other star, Drew Barrymore.

“Going the Distance” goes where most romantic comedies do not: into the R-rated arena.

The actors give us something that we’re not used to getting at the box office.

“That’s exactly what our intention was with this film,” Barrymore says. “It was to give a romantic comedy that’s more real and more adult and not sort of based in a fairy tale setting, even though I love those movies.”

The film opens Sept. 3.
