Christina did not win the award for “Best Actress in a Comedy Series” - the award went to Tina Fey of “30 Rock”.

Good news for the “Samantha Who?” cast though, Jean Smart won her award for “Best Supporting Actress in Comedy Series” for her role as Samantha’s mom in the show. Maybe next year Christina will be able to nab the statue for “Best Actress”!

Good luck to Christina on her nomination for “Best Actress” in a comedy series!

ET confirms that Christina Applegate will be a presenter at this month’s Primetime Emmy Awards, just weeks after undergoing major breast cancer surgery.

Christina revealed last month that she underwent a double-mastectomy to treat her breast cancer, but then declared herself cancer-free.

Applegate herself is nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for her portrayal of Samantha Newly on ABC’s “Samantha Who?.”

Other presenters announced today were Candice Bergen, David Boreanaz, Wayne Brady, Lauren Conrad, Jimmy Kimmel and Kiefer Sutherland.

The “60th Primetime Emmy Awards” airs on ABC September 21 at 8 p.m.
